BYOB - Bring Your Own Baby, Belly, Boobies and Brain

Mama Writers Workshop featuring Ruthie Ackerman, Author + Editor joined by Rachel & Nicole

BYOB - Bring Your Own Baby, Belly, Boobies and Brain" is our virtual lifestyle series that features pregnancy and postpartum topics with partners that we love.

About Ruthie:

Ruthie Ackerman is the former deputy editor of ForbesWomen and has written for the NYT, Oprah Magazine, WSJ, Refinery29, The Atlantic, Newsweek, Salon, Slate and many more. She recently wrote a Modern Love column in the NYT about her experience with failed "fertility preservation" and recently wrote a piece on being pregnant during a pandemic for O.

Her sought-after writing workshops are designed for those who want to set aside the time and space to write in a supportive environment, learn the craft of fiction, memoir and essays, and get their work out in the world.

This webinar will provide an opportunity to learn tips on how to get started with your pregnancy and postpartum story and will focus on getting the juices flowing to get your words out!

Ruthie will be joined by two of her former students and mamas, Rachel and Nicole, as they share their experience with writing their "mama stories."

About Rachel:

A former marketing executive, Rachel is a stay-at-home mother to two wild boys in California. She is a co-founder and producer of the Constant Chaos podcast, about the joys and challenges of raising spirited children and writes about fertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, and parenting kids with ADHD. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking in the East Bay hills with her chocolate lab mix, reading, swimming and traveling.

About Nicole:

An avid runner, reader, writer, and traveler, Nicole became a first-time mom in November 2019. Her Thanksgiving “butterball” has brought new meaning to life for her, her husband, and their two dogs.
