“This is not the time to reimagine. This is the time to build something new.”
SIMMONE TAITT, FOUNDER & CEO, POPPY SEED HEALTH
Meet Simmone (she/her)
Our founder and CEO, Simmone Taitt, experienced the gaps in emotional and mental support in maternal healthcare while navigating her own path to parenthood. After suffering multiple miscarriages—with and without health insurance—she identified a better way forward for all birthing people. She became a birth and full spectrum doula and launched Poppy Seed Health in 2019.
"My experiences firsthand made me realize that having emotional support allowed me to melt in my own vulnerabilities, joys and fears when I felt the most isolated. This is why I started Poppy Seed Health—to restructure pregnancy and postpartum care with an emphasis on emotional and mental health support that puts accessibility, equity and radical empathy at the center of our care model. This is not the time to reimagine. This is the time to build something new."
